Lukassen & Boer


The origins of Lukassen & Boer lie in Assurantiekantoor Kralingen, which was set up in 1959. In 1962, the office relocated to Papendrecht, with the then owner working from home.
Later, he purchased his neighbours' house, which served as an office. Until 1982 the business grew so fast they had to move into a real office building.
At the time Assurantiekantoor Kralingen was taken over, it mainly focused on serious damage (transport). Thanks to the contributions by Ed Lukassen and Kees Boer, the range of services was extended with pension advice, employee benefits (EB), employee insurance schemes and absenteeism management. This formed the basis of what Lukassen & Boer has been to this day: a professional all-round service provider, focusing on business relationships.

Origins of the name
The name was created by combining the surnames of the owners, Kees Boer and Ed Lukassen, one being a teacher of Dutch and religious education, the other a teacher of maths and chemistry. They met during the study programme of inspector Leven at Levob and both said goodbye to education with the objective of taking over an office together one day. They became joint owners. After 200, Rogier Jonkman and Bertjan Scheepbouwer joined as partners and board members. To this day, these four men still own Lukassen & Boer. 

Structure
Structure Lukassen & Boer comprises several units: Risk Management, Drechtsteden Zekerheid, Employee Benefits and NLG Work Ability. Every unit fulfils its own role in the range of products and services offered by Lukassen & Boer.

With a team of approx. 35 members of staff, Lukassen & Boer serves about 450 businesses with a total of more than 6,000 employees and 3,500 private clients (they also include employees of businesses).
